In 1893 our business started with cardboard packaging. Later came garlands, round boxes; corrugated cardboard and finally paper cores.

paul & coThis was the twenties and Alois Paul from Eulau, Sudetenland, founder of our business, was successful. In the thirties he and his son in law, Karl Kunert, founded another production plant in Bodenbach on the Elbe river. Come 1945 employees totaled 250.

After being displaced from the Sudetenland in the late 40s, the brothers Kunert, Alois Paul's grand-children, started business again at Wildflecken/ Rhon, producing paper cores with business growing rapidly.

PAUL & CO., EULAU Business continually expanded and new production plants were created: 1970 Peiting/Bavaria, 1980 Soest/ Westphalia and 1990 Wedderstedt/ Saxony-Anhalt. 1991 the core plant at Rupperswil/Switzerland, 1993 Paul & co. Breitenau/Austria and Beillard, France.

In 1998 the first production in Asia began operation in Jakarta, Indonesia.

For more than 40 years Paul & Co. has concentrated its developments on the production of cylindrical paper cores, convolute and spirally wound, from an inner diameter of 10 to 800 mm, with wall thickness of 1 to 50 mm and lengths up to 10 meters and even more. The Paul & Co. range covers standard cores for related papers, specialized cores for very technical materials and purposes and top quality cores with extremely high stability, refined surfaces for highly sensitive winding products.

Paul & Co. cores are reliable, consistant and are always of the highest quality.

The Paul & Co. range of cores is both complex and simple, but you can find the right core to suit your needs. We supply mainly to the paper, film and textile industries, however producers of tin, aluminum, rubber, and synthetic fibers are also customers of Paul & Co.

Each product that is wound has its own specific properties and problems. By helping the customer solve these problems we can help the to increase their profits through the reduction of waste and an increase in productivity and quality.
